A vecrucia magic type.
Vitalita is a physical extension type of magic that comes from one of the five vecrucia that are within an aelinuan's body. All aelinuans have a base foundational level of vitalita, which is grouped into six types, and these are set at particular starting levels at rebirth. Depending on an individual aelinuan's vitalita level, they may be able to gain additional capabilities.
The additional capabilities are split into three tiers, basic, intermediate and advanced, which are directly facilitated by the vecrucia, so when their reserve of vitalita gets low the user is no longer able to make use of them. A user who has the potential will start with just foundation when they first attain vitalita and then will have to work towards the tiers above one by one, depending on the level and the maximum tier they can eventually get to.
All aelinuans can use all six types, the difference is in how competent they are or how much aeryn their vitalita vecrucia can contain. For example, those with level five vitalita have vecrucia that can contain the most vitalita. Those with level one vitalita, on the other hand, have the smallest capacity for vitalita and therefore struggle the most with vitalita usage.
Maintaining the body is essential to making good use of vitalita. This is achieved through correct nutrition, exercise, hygiene and rest.
There are six types into which all vitalita skills can be categorised. All aelinuans can use all six types, the difference is in how competent they are or how much aeryn their vitalita vecrucia can contain.
The two pathways are called boost and training.
Gain the first level of a chosen capability. Locks down once you start seriously advancing down a path for a specific capability so you can only learn one. The boost path offers improved physical capabilities and the learning path offers improved learning.
This is the second tier of the individual's chosen capability. The boost path gives a physical boost and the learning path gives speed learning.
The final tier of an individual's chosen capability. The boost path grants overdrive and learning path grants physical intuition.
